Cannabis processor improves efficiency and product quality with KannaMill®
The Challenge
Christina Lake Cannabis Corp is a British Columbia based cannabis company, growing and producing cannabis and hemp products.
CLC’s facility consists of a 32 acre property, which includes over 950,000 square feet of outdoor grow space, offices, propagation and drying rooms, research facilities, and a facility dedicated to processing and extraction. CLC grows cannabis strains specifically developed for outdoor cultivation. With an inaugural harvest of 32,500 kg (71,650 lb), and significant expansion planned, CLC needed a reliable mill with high throughput rates to meet their yield.
The Solution
CLC reached out to KannaMill to find a better solution for meeting their processing goals, and was recommended a KannaMill 12: Food Grade model. Our KannaMill 12 models offer throughput rates up to 300 lbs per hour, making it well suited for CLC’s specific processing demands. Plus, our food grade option provides for food safe processing. Constructed of 316 stainless steel, our food grade models ensure that all parts of the mill that come into contact with any product are in compliance. This includes the infeed, discharge chute, rotor & hammers and mill housing, all of which are welded and polished to NSF/ANSI Std. 51.
Upon installing the KannaMill, CLC found that milling labor time was reduced by 50 percent and product degradation was also improved as a result of the faster, more efficient processing.

CLC is definitely happy with this mill. It blows the previous unit we had out of the water! We’ve had zero problems… and it’s easy to sanitize.

The Result
By utilizing the KannaMill, CLC has been able to meet their daily milling demand, and improve their processing efficiency and the resulting product quality.
“We can now match our daily dry harvest of 1200 kg (2,646 lbs). This mill allows us to process the complete daily harvest, where previously we struggled to mill even half”, said Nicco Dehaan, COO and Master Grower at Christina Lake Cannabis.
